BE(hons) Natural Resources, Professional Member of IPENZ, Chartered Professional Engineer, National Certificate in Irrigation Evaluation, National Certificate in the Design and Management of Farm Dairy Effluent Systems, RMA Decision Maker.

As a Chartered Professional Engineer, Keri specialises in natural resources projects; regional planning, water allocation, water quality, groundwater and surface water abstractions, farm dairy effluent systems, and irrigation systems.

She is also experienced in all aspects of design and construction of environmental infrastructure; working as an expert witness in planing and resource consent hearings, and the environment and high courts. Keri is a certified RMA decision maker.

Haidee has been involved with various irrigation based companies since 1998 on completion of a Bachelor of Resource Studies at Lincoln University. She has mainly been based in South Canterbury but also having worked in Western Australia and throughout the South Island. Roles have included environmental consulting for large irrigation schemes and projects, irrigation design and sales through to her current role since 2005 on a wide range of projects.

Haidee’s expertise is consents for surface water irrigation projects: from on-farm through to larger scheme projects; coordinating consent requirements with irrigation designers; consents for hydro schemes, often in conjunction with irrigation; project management and technical interface of irrigation related projects, including the development of catchments plans, either water quantity or quality; various farm consents, including dairy, land use and earthworks through to stakeholder and community liaison.

Lilian grew up on a sheep and beef farm, and after a period of being away has returned to the family farm in Matawai. She has practical knowledge of farming, including sheep, beef, deer, dairy, cropping and horticulture and combines her passion for farming with a wealth of nutrient management and environmental expertise in this role.

Lilian has joined Irricon as the first member of the North Island team in 2015. She has a Bachelor of Technology Degree from Massey University and is a Professional Member of the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (MIPENZ) and a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

Lilian worked for Fonterra (and legacy companies) for 14 years firstly as a Process Engineer and then as an Environmental Engineer where she provided technical expertise to the manufacturing sites across the country for wastewater treatment and irrigation. During this time she has been involved in the design of wastewater treatment systems, provided training for operators and audited sites for compliance with ISO14001. She has experience with resource consent applications and Overseer nutrient budgeting and has completed the Advanced Nutrient Management course at Massey University and is a Certified Nutrient Management advisor.

B Ag Com and PG Dip Environmental Management.

Paul is an environmental consultant with a strong rural background and intimate knowledge of the irrigation sector and Canterbury irrigation schemes. While with Irrigation New Zealand, he helped develop the Farm environment plan template and auditing systems with Environment Canterbury. Subsequently he has been developing the environmental management system for Waimakariri Irrigation Scheme as well as completing farm environment plans and initiating audits for the scheme shareholders. This provides Paul with an intimate knowledge of the expectations and processes that irrigation schemes work within. He is expereinced in Overseer and irrigaton evaluation. 

Paul is a project manager for Irrigation NZ projects that cover EECA irrigation energy efficiency, hill country irrigation and the formation and coordination of irrigation and farmer catchment groups.

BSc. – Zoology, MSc. Hons – Environmental Science. Sarah specialises in ground and surface water consents for irrigation and working with farmers to make them practical and manageable. She also focusses on the preparation of Farm Environment Plans (FEPS) and fresh water ecology.

Sarah is also experienced in liaising with regional and district council staff in the preparation of applications such as Assessments of Environmental Effects (AEE). Along with working with farm managers and other staff on compliance issues. Her Masters of Science involved analysing the effects of dairy farming on fresh water environments. In the past she has worked in the resource management field with Bowden Environmental and then Sylait, as well as spending six years in the UK.

Anna has an honours degree in Resource Management from Lincoln University. After completing university, she spent a couple of years working in planning and water quality for the Wellington Regional Council before moving to The United Kingdom to work in central London as a senior planner. Since then she has spent several years working for Auckland city Council and over six years as a senior consultant for a large multi discipline engineering firm in Melbourne.

Anna has extensive experience working on both large and small linear infrastructure projects, dealing with regional and district planning matters, stakeholder engagement and preparing environmental documentation to meet legislative requirements. She now resides on a sheep and beef farm on the outskirts of Kurow, is a mother of three.

B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Hons) (Freshwater Ecology) and P.G. Dip (Resource Studies).

Melissa has worked in the resource management and environmental fields since 1999, as a Senior Consents Investigating Officer and Water Quality Scientist for Environment Canterbury for seven years; a Town Planner at a District Council in the UK for a year; and since 2007 as an Environmental Consultant.

Melissa has technical expertise in designing, implementing and reporting on freshwater ecological assessments, including fish, macro-invertebrate and habitat assessments. In addition, she has extensive experience in the preparation of resource consents for a range of activities required for both Regional and District Councils, including dairy conversions, surface and groundwater abstractions and land-use activities. Some recent projects include the preparation of resource consents and carrying out in-stream assessments for the proposed Christchurch Southern Motorway Stage 2; and for a large-scale dairy conversion.

Melissa currently farms with her husband in North Canterbury where they crop and run dairy grazers. This farming experience combines well with her employment and gives her a good understand of the issues farmers face and practical ways to ensure good environmental outcomes.

Jack grew up on a small farm in South Canterbury. He has a varied background, largely in adventure tourism. Re-training and graduating from Lincoln University with a degree in environmental management and planning has led to work in the environmental management field. Jack worked as compliance monitoring officer for Environment Canterbury before joining the Irricon team.

Jack is responsible for the management of the CompliancePro aspect of the business, assisting consent holders to manage and stay on top of ever growing compliance requirements.

Jack is involved in preparing resource consent applications for both Regional and District Councils as well as concession applications with the Department of Conservation. Much of his work focuses on land use consents such as those required for irrigation storage and pipelines, works in and around waterways, stream realignments and gravel takes. Other work that Jack is involved in includes surface water abstractions, dairy discharges and the preparation of Farm Environment Plans. Jack enjoys spending time with his young family, showing them some the amazing sights and recreational opportunities that can be found around the South Island, the region and in our own backyard.

Ben grew up on a farm in mid Canterbury which led to work for various farming enterprises during his education years.

Ben is experienced in dairy discharge consenting, land use consenting and preparation of Farm Environmental Plans (FEPs). In the past he has worked in a farm consultancy and management company focussing on financial modelling, board governance reporting, farm system analysis and implementation, irrigation development, and OVERSEER modelling and FEP/SMP (Sustainable Milk Plan) preparation.

Ben focusses on the preparation of FEP’s/SMP’s and OVERSEER scenario modelling for farm system changes to achieve nutrient loss goals/requirements and farm profitability. Ben enjoys hunting, fishing and diving; along with anything else that involves the outdoors.

B Agr Sci (Hons), Advance Certificate in Sustainable Nutrient Management, Certified Nutrient Management Advisor, Dairy Farm Consultant (since 1997).

Nicky was brought up on a Sheep and Beef farm in the Hawkes Bay before marrying a Waikato dairy farmer . Nicky moved to Mid Canterbury (2005) to continue dairy farming with irrigation. Nicky and her husband farm 3000 cows on stony Lismore soils, in a red zone under LWRP Plan Change 3 rules so understands the farmer side of nutrient management issues!

Nicky’s focus is in completing Overseer Nutrient Budgets, preparing farm environment plans and preparation of land use and dairy consents. Nicky plans to use her dairy farm consultancy skills to help farmers navigate their way through their nutrient management issues, sustainably and profitably.

Inese was born in Latvia and since 2000 she has been on the road and has lived in USA and England before moving to New Zealand in 2009.

Inese graduated from the College of Economics in Latvia and has worked at various adminisitration and accounts positions throughout her career.  In November 2014 she took up the challenge of the Business Managers role at Irricon and since has become a big part of the company, managing the accounts, staff and directors.
